A breakdown of exam performance by category for the most recent Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC), Credentialed Prevention Professional (CPP) and Credentialed Prevention Specialist (CPS) candidates.

To better prepare counselors for work in the field and improve performance on credentialing examinations, OASAS tracks, analyzes, and publishes general data regarding candidate performance in various test areas.

    • Total first-time testing candidates: 96 with a pass rate of 85%
    • Total candidates retaking the exam: 25 with a pass rate of 48%
