About the Submission
SAFE in Harlem is a community-driven coalition dedicated to youth advocacy, public safety, and substance misuse prevention. We believe that real community change starts by empowering the next generation. For this project, we partnered with the inspiring 5th Grade Student Leadership Council at P.S. 200 to give them a platform to speak out. We brought the awareness and the mission to the school, and these incredible young leaders took the reins to create this video submission—proving that when youth are given the tools, they can be the most powerful advocates for change in Harlem.
