Recovery Tax Credit Program

The first program of its kind in the nation helps to rid the workplace of the stigma surrounding addiction and increase employment opportunities for New Yorkers in recovery. All eligible employers can apply to receive up to $2,000 of tax credit per eligible employee for the 2020 tax year.

Request for Applications (RFA):

 

New York State leads the nation with the first ever Recovery Tax Credit Program. Eligible employers are those that pay corporate finance taxes in NYS. Employers must submit the RFA to be eligible for the Recovery Tax Credit Program. Eligible employees must be in recovery from a SUD and hired on or after April 12, 2019. Employees must work at least 500 hours at an eligible employer and remain employed until 2020. $2 million in tax credits (up to $2,000 per eligible employee) will be available for eligible employers for the 2020 tax year.
 

Eligible Applicants: All employers that pay corporate finance tax in NYS.
