The New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) is always looking for qualified individuals to join our dedicated staff. Continuous and Intermittent Recruitment
Civil Service Positions

We offer year round recruitment for Clinical Physicians, Medical Specialists, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Psychiatrists, and Addictions Counselors. Licensed Master Social Worker opportunities are available twice yearly, in January and June. Applications for Nurse Administrators and Addiction Programs Specialists are also accepted periodically.

The Department of Civil Service maintains minimum qualifications, exam schedules, fees, and salary information for these positions.

Credentialed Professionals
OASAS Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselors, Credentialed Prevention Professional, Credentialed Prevention Specialist, and Credentialed Problem Gambling Counselors, may be eligible for employment at one of our 1,600 OASAS-certified prevention, treatment or recovery programs.
