Problem Solving and Decision Making in the Clinical Environment

Presenters will review and define the different models of decision making in the clinical treatment of substance use disorders. The focus of this presentation will be on the shared decision model and the patient benefits of using this model for treatment planning. Additionally, presenters will explore the use of motivational interviewing and shared decision-making to affect positive patient outcomes.
