Focus on Mobile Sports Wagering/Gambling
“Take a Pause” is a public service awareness campaign highlighting the steps New Yorkers can take to understand the risks and ensure responsible gambling, in particular for those who participate in mobile sports betting. It also includes information about where people can find help for themselves or a loved one impacted by, or at risk of developing a gambling problem.

Public Service Announcements
The campaign raises awareness through public service announcements in English and Spanish on social media, TV, radio, billboards and other public locations.
Survey
Individuals are invited to take a survey to see if their wagering is something to be concerned about and can receive feedback on whether their gambling may be a problem.
New Partnership
OASAS has also partnered with GamFin to provide free financial counseling and support for anyone in New York State who is experiencing financial challenges related to gambling.
